Squeak Roberts memorial Ironman Race honouring the memory of Ray Roberts - Emu Park Oldies v Youngies

The 2003 event was fiercly contested by all involved with the exception of James"starpicket" Edworthy who failed to complete the course.

It was great to see Julie and Petronella taking on the men.

The eventual winner was William Querio.

There was a buzz around the ground when it was realized that the evergreen local champion Dwayne Roberts was a late withdrawal from the race. It is understood that the course Vet had ruled him unfit to race as he was suffering from heart polpertations, or something to do with his heart anyway.
