THE DEADLOCK IS BROKEN The 2008 Oldies -v- Youngies game has been run and won - finally. 2006 saw a premature end to the game when a power failure caused the game to come to a screaming halt with the score at 16 points all. 2007 the challenge game ran its entire course but by the time the full time hooter had sounded both sides again could not be split.

above - the victorious 2008 oldies team IN 2008 THE OLDIES CAME FROM AN EARLY 12 POINT DEFICET TO COMFORTABLY DEFEAT THE YOUNGIES BY 50 POINTS TO 34. The power and strength of the Oldies finally wore down the Youngies who after starting like startled rabbits slowly succumbed to the power play of the ageless Oldies. The youngies made the fatal mistake of trying to go through the Oldies defensive line instead of throwing the pill around and wearing down the tired old legs. A ploy that had catastrophic results. below - the 2008 Youngies.
